Most of our guests range in age from their 50s to 80s – usually couples seeking to invest in a meaningful, lasting gift for their family, though individuals are welcome to create a legacy film as well. In some cases, families choose to involve their children or siblings in the interviews, making it a shared experience across generations.

We often see parents and grandparents create a legacy film as a heartfelt gift for their family – something meaningful that can be cherished for years to come. Likewise, many children choose to gift a legacy film to their parents as a way to honor their stories and words of wisdom.

You will receive the following:

• Personalized and memorable interviews (three 90-minute sessions), with our experienced host. We’re intentional with our pre-interview process to prepare you.

• Professional multi-camera video and audio recording.

• High-quality video of your interviews, lightly edited, with a private link to watch online, download, and share with loved ones.

This full-day experience spans 6 hours, with approximately 4.5 hours of on-camera recording, allowing time for breaks, a relaxed pace, and a catered lunch.

For couples, we typically recommend three interviews: a 90-minute session with each person individually, followed by a 90-minute interview together. This format also works well for two siblings or other family members who wish to be filmed together. For those who prefer not to record a shared interview, we’re happy to customize the schedule by extending individual interview sessions.

For individuals, we recommend three separate interview sessions of approximately 90 minutes each, thoughtfully paced throughout the day. As with all our films, the structure is flexible and can be tailored to your preferences.

The final recording is between 3-4.5 hours, depending on how much you choose to share, and is delivered a month after your session.

We’ll sit down together, either at our studio in Tigard, Oregon or in your home.

We understand that being in front of a camera doesn’t come naturally to many people. That’s why our process is designed to help you feel comfortable and at ease. Having led hundreds of interviews, we’re experienced in helping guests feel confident and fully themselves.

Of course! Our process is designed to learn more about you and to set the stage for your interview. While you’re welcome to share specific questions with us, it isn’t required.

People often share reflections on their childhood, marriage, family, faith, wisdom, and other meaningful aspects of their life. By tailoring our questions to you, we ensure that the film captures the most meaningful aspects of your life.

The film belongs solely to the individual(s) interviewed, and we do not share the film with the person who purchased the gift. We keep a backup of the interviews and finished film for safekeeping for a limited time, but are happy to delete them upon request. Additionally, we’ll never share any photos or clips from your interview without your written permission.
